While it’s still looking a bit like June gloom to me, I know that summer is on the horizon and San Diegans can look forward to plenty of sunny beach days soon! With the kids getting out of school for summer and lots of beautiful and warm weather on the way, it’s a good idea to start planning out your summer in San Diego.

Endless Beach Days

One of the first summer activities in San Diego you can expect to enjoy this year is endless beach days. Whether you want to go surfing, boogie boarding, wave surfing, wading, paddle boarding, look at sea creatures, or build sand castles, there’s a good beach for everyone. If you always go to the same old beach, why not check out a new beach this summer?

Grab your beach towel, umbrella, sunscreen, and cooler and head to one of the best beaches in California. If you prefer calm water, Mission Bay, Glorietta Bay, and Kellogg Beach are great spots to visit. If you want to see sea life, La Jolla Cove is a great spot snorkeling and spotting sea lions. The tide pools at Cabrillo National Monument are also a great spot to see sea creatures in San Diego. If you want to impress visitors with beautiful beaches, head out to La Jolla Shores, Coronado or Windansea.

Pro Tip: Get to the beach before 11 am to find parking.

Love Summer in San Diego? Make it Home Permanently

While San Diego has so much to see and do during the summer, renting a home doesn’t guarantee that this beautiful place will always be your home. Stop throwing away money at rent and invest in your future instead by buying a home. With our booming housing market, if you ever decide to move away from San Diego, at least your home will give you a profit should you decide to sell.
